Just a few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of having Eva—the creator of one of the most important food and recipe blogs in the world, Adventures in Cooking—and Linda Lomelino of Call Me Cupcake, two of the most recognizable food bloggers, photographers, and stylists today, stay at the Eric Vökel Gran Vía Suites, one of our luxury apartments in Barcelona.
They were in Barcelona to organize and hold a very special workshop in the nearby charming beach town of Sitges. During their stay, in which they called one of our fully equipped luxury suites their temporary home, they visited the wineries and vineyards of Codorniú, a family business with more than 500 years of history located right at the heart of the Penedés region, and they sampled the wines of Finca Viladellops, a winery specializing in organic red wines, found next to the Castle of Olèrdola in the Garraf Massif.
Eva of Adventures in Cooking , who hails from Hillsboro, Oregon, and Linda, who comes from a small Swedish town, were able to get firsthand experience of the virtues and excellence of Mediterranean food, wine, traditions, and culture. Their professionalism and know-how, acquired after long years of experience, shone through during the fabulous workshop with a select group of participants who were all ears.
One need only glance through the photographs that accompany each of their posts to fully understand and appreciate the quality of their ideas. The presentation of each of their recipes, the manner of decorating the table, the materials and accessories chosen to show them off to best advantage, and their floral arrangement ideas are a true delight for the senses and for all of us who are great admirers of Eva and Linda’s handiwork.
It was a real pleasure to meet them and welcome them to the Eric Vökel Gran Vía Suites, one of our luxury apartments in Barcelona.
