A few months ago, we started working on an Eric Vökel Blog Trip, in which we wanted to invite 2 international bloggers to discover the city that has witnessed our birth, while staying at one of the luxury apartments in Barcelona of Eric Vökel Boutique Apartments, specifically the Eric Vökel Gran Vía Suites.
As a great admirer of trends originating from the Nordic countries, we decided to invite Em Fexeus—the mastermind behind the hugely popular blog Ems Designblogg—and Allan Torp—the creator of Bungalow 5—two of my favorite blogs.
From her native Sweden, Em develops her blog, a digital space brimming with pure Scandinavian essence, minimalism, and functionalism which define and characterize each of her ideas. Allan, from Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, exudes a unique personality and style while sharing his views on the world of interior design, travel, art, and lifestyle.
During the Eric Vökel Blog Trip, we wanted them to see the best way to experience and make the most of a city as unique as Barcelona, so we organized some essential excursions to explore the Ciutat Comtal (City of Counts), our gastronomy, design, neighborhoods, and last but not the least, our apartments based on the luxury suite where they stayed in, right in the heart of Barcelona.
We arranged for lunch at the Restaurant El Cercle—one of our personal favorites—where they were able to sample one of the best cuisines in Barcelona. They also visited the highly acclaimed Design Museum and were able to take a nice stroll through one of the city’s most popular neighborhoods—El Born. The day was rounded off with dinner at El Celler de la Ribera, one of the restaurants of the Lonja Family, right on the busy Plaça de les Olles. Afterwards, a well-deserved rest awaited them at their apartment in the Eric Vökel Gran Vía Suites.
Truly pleased with the trip, Em and Allan promised to visit again very soon. We’re really looking forward to it!
