Behind a proper name taken from the most tender of fairy tales hides the author of one of the most influential and stylish bloggers on gastronomy: Linda Lomelino, the creator of Call me Cupcake.
Although her father is Portuguese and her mother is German, Linda was born in Sweden and still lives there, sharing her passion for the world of cooking and photography with her countless followers.
Her blog, Call me Cupcake, forms part of the work of a small group of writers with a love of cooking and everything associated with it. Accompanied by perfect pictures, her recipes, largely devoted to cakes and pastries, reach beyond our computer and tablet screens and delight us without a hint of mercy.
She confesses to having had a sweet tooth ever since she was very young, when her mother was the one behind the tins, sponges and chocolate, baking the most exquisite cakes. Linda merely watched, eagerly waiting for the delicious dessert to be ready to eat. In 2009 she decided to create Call me Cupcake to combine her two passions, sweet food and photography, and to provide a creative outlet for her restless mind and spirit.
Her writing is not just limited to her blog. Her first book, titled Lomelinos tårtor, came out in April 2012 and a year later she completed Lomelinos glass, while her latest work, Sweet Food & Photography, was published in September 2014. The first of these has already been translated into German, French, English, Dutch and Finnish, no less.
She declares herself to be a sleepyhead and a lover of coffee and all those charming old things that, despite the passage of time, will always remain everlasting and essential.
You only need to spend a while with Call me Cupcake to fall into the mouth-watering temptation offered by the delicious recipes with which Linda regularly bewitches us.
