Bramby Supply Co, genuine craftsmanship in Barcelona

The Gothic Quarter of Barcelona has hidden gems tucked away waiting to be discovered, as is the case of Bramby Supply Co, an establishment that I chanced upon a few weeks ago, after visiting the Palau de la Música Catalana—a masterpiece of Modernist architecture declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1977—one of the most important music landmarks in the city. Scant meters away from this spectacular hub of Catalan cultural and social life, built between 1905 and 1908 by the brilliant architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner as the headquarters of the Orfeó Català, is the distinctive and refined workshop of Bramby Supply Co.

Fernando Bramby, craftsman and creator of Bramby Supply Co. dazzles us with each of his creations, the products of meticulous craftsmanship, so that each of the aprons that he designs and makes using traditional methods is perfectly suited to the needs and characteristics of each and every one.

His works are the perfect blend of leather and denim, with tradition and careful attention to detail as the starting points of each piece, lovingly creating and crafting aprons that have evolved in tune with new shapes, trends, and textures.

The leather pieces are attached to the fabric by means of stitches that are completely hand sewn. Each apron has a support system that avoids neck strain for those who wear it for long periods of time, thanks to the straps that criss-cross at the back, instead of hanging directly from the neck. In addition, as they are completely adjustable, they can be used by persons of different sizes, and can be removed to facilitate cleaning of the apron.

Whether at the physical shop—which I highly recommend you visit—or directly at the online shop, you can find the most original pieces that have been designed with passion and extraordinary knowledge of the craft, the epitome of a job well done.

Fernando Bramby describes himself as: “a craftsman with the soul of an artist, creative and authentic”. Genius and personality.
