Born in Copenhagen, architecture and design are his life. He regularly works with major Nordic design studios and during one of his trips stopped off in Barcelona: he was captivated by its architecture, culture, and Mediterranean colour.
Such was the impact Barcelona had on Eric that he decided to stay and carry out his latest project: Eric Vökel Boutique Apartments.
Each of the apartments has been personally designed and decorated by him in a style that is a unique mix of functionality and the beauty of Nordic design with all the creativity and spontaneity of Mediterranean design.
The natural wood finishes and soft tones evoke Scandinavian serenity, while the headboards inspired by traditional Barcelona hydraulic tile designs pay homage to local history and art.

Eric is a cosmopolitan and avid traveller, especially drawn to large cities, their streets, their people, and their culture. After starting his project in Barcelona, he opened buildings in Madrid, Hamburg, Amsterdam, and Copenhagen. Every city has its own personality and spirit. The only way to get to know it is living it.
