Mano Rota Restaurant: A Counter Dining Experience in Poble Sec

Where to Eat/Barcelona

For some years now, the popular neighborhood of Poble Sec in Barcelona has become a true paradise for foodies, and proof of this is the opening in 2015 of Mano Rota restaurant, a very interesting place where the counters offer the best seats in the house. Located a few minutes’ walk away from one of our buildings of designer suites and apartments in Barcelona, Eric Vökel Gran Via Suites, Mano Rota is already one of the city’s must-eat restaurants.

Two chefs trained at the prestigious Hoffman culinary school, Oswaldo Brito and Bernat Bermudo, are the masterminds behind the elegant Mano Rota, a restaurant with counter offering innovative cuisine, designed by the two chefs. After 10 years of separation training under chefs such as the likes of Jean Luc Figueras, Carles Gaig or Andoni Luis Aduriz, they decided to bring together all their talent and acquired knowledge to bring this restaurant to life. It recently celebrated two years in business.

Two magnificent counters dominate the space. The first is found in the bar area, which is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or a delicious cocktail. And the second is located in front of an amazing vertical plant wall in the outdoor patio, and in the same way that it does in a Japanese tavern, it gives you the best vantage point to see how the chefs at Mano Rota Restaurant work.

Now, if you prefer, you can also opt for one of its tables for two or its private dining room for 6-8 people. These are the perfect spots where, together with the counters, you can enjoy its dishes as part of a tasting menu for €60 per diner—a great option for those who want to try a little bit of everything—, or its à la carte dishes, a true delight for all the senses.

As the chefs themselves acknowledge, at Mano Rota restaurant, they design their menu “for diners who are willing to revolutionize their palates”, as all offerings in this renowned restaurant are daring, bursting with flavor and personality.

The best conclusion to a wonderful culinary experience: drinking an exquisite cup of coffee at Nomad Coffee. What else?
